Situated on the Dnipro River, Kyiv is the capital city of Ukraine and it is also the largest city with roughly three million citizens.

The picturesque city has a lot to offer from its rich history and culture with landmarks such as Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence square) to many botanical gardens, parks and beautiful trees, Kyiv is a wonder to behold in summer and spring.

Kyiv is known for its magnificent churches and cathedrals but aside from the beautiful architecture, Kyiv is also a very green city.  Many people walk or cycle along the bank of the Dnipro River, while you can also go swimming or go for a boat ride.

There are many theatres and opera houses, which provide quality indoor entertainment, and craft markets selling an abundance of traditional Ukrainian goods can be found in various city squares. There are art galleries, beautiful old buildings and even catacombs to see. Kyiv is a charming and majestic city that should not be missed.
