Celebrate Canada’s 150th Birthday in the GTA!
Looking to make last minute plans to celebrate Canada Day? Look no further, we’ve found some fun events for you and your family to enjoy on our beautiful nation’s 150th birthday in and around the GTA. Make it one to remember with fireworks, tasty ribs, live music, and more.
1. Watch the fireworks downtown Oakville at Bronte Village Harbour! Celebrate Canada 150 on Saturday July 1st from 11am-11pm. There will be 50 unique vendors, live music and more – be sure to get there early to secure a good spot.
2. Celebrate Canada’s Birthday in Niagara Falls! Celebrations will be on all weekend from Friday, June 30 to Sunday, July 2nd. The OPG Niagara Falls Canada Day Parade will be happening on July 1st. Enjoy the fabulous marching bands, giant inflatables, colourful float, juggles, dancers, and more from 12:30pm to 4pm.
3. Canada Day at Queen’s Park! There’s something to do for all ages, so bring the whole family to the annual Queen’s Park Celebration in Toronto. Starting from 10am to 10pm. There will music, dance performances, games, children’s activities, face paint and more.
4. Check out the Toronto Ribfest. Toronto Ribfest is on all weekend (June 30th-July 3rd) so be sure to stop by Etobicoke Centennial Park for some mouthwatering ribs, live music, quality entertainment and fireworks starting at 10pm.
5. Canada Day Celebration at Mel Lastman Square Toronto. Celebrate Canada day with free a free concert, circus acts, dance performances, family activities, and a fireworks finale. Enjoy family friendly festivities all day long Saturday July 1st from 2pm to 11pm.
6. Celebrate Canada Day with the Blue Jays! On Saturday July 1st the Toronto Blue Jays will be facing the Boston Red Sox at the Rogers Centre. For tickets and information click here.
7. Throw your own party with family and friends! What better way to celebrate Canada’s birthday than hosting your own celebration with delicious food, crafty decorations, sparklers and your favourite music.
